More adventures for the Power Rangers Dino Charge team!

Power Rangers is one of the longest-running franchises in the super sentai genre. Due to its seemingly unending popularity, it has spawned many spin-off media such as games, comics, and toys. Power Rangers Dino Charge Rumble is an action game based on the twenty-second and twenty-third seasons of Power Rangers called Power Rangers Dino Charge and Power Rangers Dino Super Charge, respectively. Featuring many notable monsters and heroes from the Dino Charge seasons, Power Rangers Dino Charge Rumble is an enjoyable entry into the large Power Rangers franchise.

Premise and Features

Since it is based on the TV show, the game doesn’t deviate too much from it in terms of premise. You play as five super-powered teenagers known as Power Rangers as they battle against evil to keep Earth safe. Although the show features many Power Rangers, only the five main characters are available in the game. The available ones are the Red Ranger, Black Ranger, Blue Ranger, Pink Ranger, and Green Ranger. While the main antagonist in the show is Snide, Sledge is the main one in the game.

The story is divided into several chapters and it is presented in a 2D comic book style. The main gameplay, however, is presented in 3D graphics. Along with Sledge, players can battle against Vivix, Scrapper, Fury, Ice Age, Sting Rage, and more. There are 7 chapters to unlock with over 20 levels overall.

Gameplay

Despite being an action game, Power Rangers Dino Charge Rumble is turn-based rather than hack-and-slash. However, the game still requires good motor skills to play properly. Each Power Ranger is given several moves to attack opponents with. To attack an opponent, players must power up the move by performing specific command movements like flicking, tapping, or swiping. Players must also time their commands correctly for stronger attacks. After the player attacks, the enemy will take their turn.

Players can fight in a team with all of the other Power Rangers. In some levels, players can even use the Dino Megazord to fight large monsters and enemies.

Worthwhile for Power Rangers Fans

Power Rangers Dino Charge Rumble may not revolutionize gaming or add much lore to the Power Rangers franchise. However, it is still good to try for the nice comic book graphics and decent gameplay. If you want to see more adventures by the Dino Charge team then this game is worthwhile to download.
